Hello, I’m a native Japanese speaker currently teaching Japanese to foreign students. I previously worked as a private tutor in Japan, teaching both Japanese and English. I have a strong understanding of Japanese language and culture, including keigo (sonkeigo, kenjōgo, and teineigo). These nuances can be difficult even for native Japanese speakers, so I believe my experience can be valuable when discussing personal situations from a Japanese cultural perspective. Although I’m not a native English speaker, I use English for work and can comfortably communicate in English, including in one-on-one conversations about personal topics. I’m particularly interested in the personal problem-solving aspect of this project. I would focus on listening carefully, helping you organize your thoughts, exploring different perspectives, and finding practical solutions that fit your situation rather than simply giving generic advice. For the first month, I suggest one 60-minute session per week.
