I have an Debian 4.0 2.6 that is a vanilla install all on a hard drive without x windows.
It takes 3 minutes to boot and most of the stuff I don't need.
I have a simple batch file that I run at boot up and then I am done.
So I don't need any network, services, hard drive, but it is there now....
So I would like to put everything I need into the initrd (ramdisk) and have nothing else, not even the hard drive.
I would like it to boot and have it go straight to a root bash shell and then I type the application batch file name.
it can be single user mode.
so I would like someone who has build an init ram disk in the past to build mine. if you are an expert it should take 30 mins.
experience required with initramfs
I can give you root ssh access.
