Have two dns servers (one master one slave) that have XNAME as a front end for BIND. Starting yesterday, I am getting a message that says "Xname error message - can't reload dns2" which is the backup (slave) dns server. The servers are [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] - we make all our changes on [url removed, login to view] and every hour it updates the slave dns server - dns2. If it fails, it sends me an email with the message above. The person that set these up is no longer with us so I am not sure what I need to do to resolve this. If I add a new zone or change something on [url removed, login to view], and wait an hour for the update, and then try a dig or nslookup on [url removed, login to view], the changes are there even though I still get the error.
I would prefer to have someone that is pretty familiar with XName - if you haven't worked with XName, please don't bid.
