Part-time (Windows + Linux) System Administrator We’re looking for a part time system administrator to take care of our servers. Your things to do would include, but not limited to: - Monitor server uptime (pingdom, or whatever you want) - Take action when a server is down - Maintaining our linux haproxy load balancer - Maintain our Windows 2012 webserver, this includes: o Setting up new websites (IIS) with FTP o Creating login credentials for partners we work with (per site) o Backup websites o Make sure our databases keep running o Backup databases (MySQL, SQL Server Express) o Install SSL certificates - Maintain VM’s installed on our servers - Create and configure new VM’s o VM’s are configured to connect to off-location VPN’s. You will need to setup firewall rules to allow permanent remote desktop connections even when the VM is dialed to a VPN o Setup remote desktop on separate ports so partners can dial in directly. The infrastructure is pretty much set and running, maintaining and installing new VM’s, websites and setting up backups would be the first tasks to do. While bidding, please put in the description which version of powershell is included in windows 2012 r2. You need to be organized, and work from a shared directory (preferably our office365 SharePoint) to save credentials and data. We prefer to find a European worker for this, which mainly has to do with connection speeds.
