Apache Hive Consultant

I have gone through the installations for hadoop/hive on Ubuntu 20.04 and have successfully connected it to SparkSQL. Where I would need consulting is in my hive --service metastore command with a mysql metatstore. When I try to initiative it, it will just hang for hours, not completing.

The reason I need this command performed is to connect my SparkSQL to Tableau on any computer I am on. If anyone has experience in starting up this command, I would appreciate a couple hours of your time.
