NOTE: This is a repost as we were not able to come up with a satisfactory design from the previous winner. Those who bid on the project previously need submit only a bid and do not need to resubmit their design samples or ideas.
We're seeking a logo for a project that we're working on. We'll be putting some of my own money into it, but this project will never see a profit and we're not rich, so the cost, unfortunately, is going to be a larger consideration than it should be for such a project. Our apologies in advance to those of you whose artistic talents we simply cannot afford.
The logo will be used primarily for business cards and a website. We prefer simple to intricate, neither too masculine nor too feminine, friendly and personal over corporate. The colors used will likely become our official scheme.
The initials of the project are "S" and "Z," and we've been playing with the idea of a hybrid S/Z where the same character is used with a mirror image of itself, where there's a balance between the curves of the S and the angles of the Z to look natural in both. (Yeah, that's kind of confusing. Hopefully it makes sense to someone.) You can run with this or abandon it completely.
Keywords and phrases we've tossed around: generalized reciprocity (a/k/a pay it forward), kindness, samaritan, strangers, social responsibility.
Along with your bid, we would love to see samples of your work. Also let us know in what formats you'll provide your finished designs. We're posting this specifically for new Freelancer.com providers. Giving someone new the opportunity seems to be very much in keeping with our project.
