The Goal:

Write (OR modify) an Nmap NSE vulnerability script that will work at a local level (no API) and detect vulnerabilities using the attached database and output the data into the terminal.

Option 1

There is a github repo that already has this functionality (it only needs modifying): [login to view URL]

Most of the work and modifications (I expect) will be done within the file "[login to view URL]" although I cannot be sure as I am not a developer.

Option 2

You can create a NSE vulnerability script from scratch that will work at a local level (no API) and detect vulnerabilities using the attached database and output the data into the terminal.

In both Option 1 and Option 2 cases:

Although my custom database has multiple fields, I only require the following fields to be displayed in the terminal output when port/service vulnerabilities are found:

Name, Severity, Description and Solution.

My desired output will look like file attachment "[login to view URL]" (you will notice the output is in columns and rows - this is to ensure everything is nice, neat and organised).
