I need someone for probably only 1-2 hours to help me with some set up of Mandrill. Here is what is needed - it is a question I sent to Mandrill support:
I’m curious about a specific use and if Mandrill can help: Im preparing a new service on my site that lists many services from many providers e.g. here is one provider [url removed, login to view], suppose a visitor of the site wants to make an inquiry to a specific one (Andres Ulfarsson in the sample), can Mandrill 1. allow the viewer/customer to submit a question/inquiry/email (im using contact form 7 for wp) and it goes to the private email account of the provider AND copied to me, and then 2. the response from the provider goes to the customer and comes to me as well (automatically and the customer does not know about it) and then 3. this would be a loop and I will always be kept up to date in the communication. This would prevent the provider from trying to bypass me the middle-man. Im also not really a techie so you think this is something I could set up myself. cheers, Robert
This is Mandrill support answer:
There are a couple of things you can do. The easiest solution in this case might be to set up a Google Apps address so you, and all of the providers can receive email at a single group address like clients@[url removed, login to view], for example. Then you could have the Reply-To address for all of your Contact For 7 emails be that address, so you and providers are receiving communication to and from customers.
The other option, though it requires a bit more legwork, would be to use Mandrill's inbound processing feature. With our inbound processing, you provide an address or route for your website, and we'll accept any emails to that address or route (so again, in this situation that might be the Reply-To address that routes customer replies to you and the provider). Then, we receive those emails, break them apart into their constituent pieces, and POST that information to a webhook URL on your site. From there, you could parse the POST data and log that information as you need. If that sounds doable, I recommend reviewing our inbound processing docs here: [url removed, login to view]
Let me know if you have any other questions.
