I need a seasoned hand in ANSYS Mechanical—Workbench or pure APDL—to run a clean modal analysis on a composite-material beam that sits on springs at both ends. There are two scenarios I must compare: the bare beam on springs, and the same setup once a disc-shaped lumped mass is attached at mid-span. The goal is simple but demands rigor: extract the first several natural frequencies and their corresponding mode shapes for each case, document how the central mass alters the dynamics, and keep numerical error tightly controlled. You will receive the CAD file defining the exact geometry; no need to recreate the model. The spring boundary conditions at each end must be represented with realistic stiffness values, and I will validate those with you before the final solve. For the lumped mass I do not yet have detailed specs, so I expect your guidance on choosing practical density and dimensions (or an equivalent point mass) and then we will iterate quickly until the assumptions feel right. Please lean on solid meshing strategy, convergence checks, and, if you use APDL, clear command comments so I can trace the workflow. Workbench users should keep the analysis tree tidy and name every object meaningfully. Deliverables I need: • ANSYS project files for both cases (Workbench archive or *.dat/*.cdb for APDL) • A brief PDF memo summarising setup choices, convergence evidence, tabulated natural frequencies, mode-shape screenshots, and a short comparison of the two scenarios • Any auxiliary scripts or spreadsheets you use for post-processing I will review by reopening the model, re-running the solver, and verifying that reported frequencies fall within 2 % of your memo values. If all checks out, that’s acceptance. Looking forward to working with someone who enjoys squeezing every bit of accuracy out of ANSYS.

With my extensive knowledge and experience in the field of simulation using programs like ANSYS, I can assure you of a thorough and rigorous analysis that will meet all your requirements. I have a strong grasp on both the APDL and Workbench platforms, along with excellent understanding of modal analysis which will be crucial for this project. In addition, my skills in CAD/CAM and Mechanical Design will help me to effectively interpret your CAD file, so there will be no need to recreate the model, saving us valuable time and effort. I understand the significance of realistic boundary conditions in achieving accurate results for modal analysis. I am more than willing to work with you in order to define appropriate stiffness values for the springs while ensuring their realism. Even though you don't have detailed specs for the lumped mass at present, my broad engineering background enables me to make informed decisions on practical density and dimensions. With an iterative approach involving your feedback, we will quickly settle on an equivalent point mass that is well suited for this particular problem.

Vutuk Design and Media is pleased to submit this proposal for your ANSYS Modal Analysis project. Our firm offers a sophisticated engineering and visualization suite, specializing in the structural validation and "Digital Twin" modeling of industrial components. We understand that vibration analysis is essential for long-term reliability, and we bridge the gap between complex mathematical frequency data and professional technical presentation. Would you like a 3D animation showcasing the exaggerated mode shapes (bending, torsional, and axial) for the first five natural frequencies? Are you looking for a "Sensitivity Study" to determine how changing the beam's geometry could shift the natural frequencies away from an operating motor speed? Should we provide a Campbell Diagram or a Harmonic Response study if there is a specific excitation frequency involved? Do you require the final documentation to include a detailed mesh-convergence study to verify the mathematical accuracy of the vibration results? We invite you to explore our profile and portfolio to view our diverse range of industrial designs and high-end technical visualizations. Vutuk Design and Media is ready to provide a world-class, professional result for your vibration analysis project.

Hello, This is a well-defined modal study, and I can support it with the level of rigor required for master’s research. I’m a mechanical engineer with strong experience in ANSYS Mechanical (Workbench/APDL), composite modeling, and modal analysis, including validation against analytical solutions. I will model both configurations: the composite beam on linear springs and the beam with a centrally mounted lumped mass. The composite lay-up will be defined accurately using appropriate element types (e.g., layered shell or solid elements depending on thickness), and the spring supports will be modeled correctly using stiffness elements to reflect boundary behavior. I’ll ensure all assumptions are clearly justified and documented. A mesh sensitivity study will be performed to confirm convergence, and I will extract the first six natural frequencies and mode shapes for both cases. I can also cross-check results with analytical beam theory where applicable to meet the ±3% accuracy requirement. Deliverables will include fully organized ANSYS project files, a concise technical report covering modeling decisions and results, and annotated mode shape visuals. I ensure everything is reproducible so you can rerun the model without modification. I’m ready to start once you share the beam properties and requirements, and I’ll maintain clear communication throughout. I’d be glad to support your research and deliver accurate, well-documented results.
