ABOUT THE APP SubCav is a free app that helps youth soccer coaches (called football in most countries) manage substitutions so every player gets equitable playing time. It is live on the Apple App Store and Google Play ("SubCav: Soccer Substitutions"). Coaches set up a roster, plan a game, run the game live on the sideline with a timer and substitution alerts, and share a live view with parents. WHAT I NEED A thorough hands-on test of the whole app on real phones, and a written report of: 1. Bugs: anything broken, crashing, hidden, cut off, confusing, or behaving differently on different phones. 2. Improvements: anything that is slow, hard to find, unclear, or that a coach on a busy sideline would struggle with. Additionally, not required but greatly appreciated: any suggestions you would recommend for improving the app, such as features you would expect to find but that are missing. If you have coached or played youth soccer, or used other team or sports apps, your comparisons are especially welcome. SCOPE - Every screen: login, roster and player details, schedule, game setup (field layout, position restrictions, substitution setup), the live game screen, stats, gallery, settings, and help screens. - Run at least two complete games from setup to finish, including halftime. - Pay special attention to: the keyboard covering text boxes, buttons hidden under the phone's status bar or notch, screens that cannot be closed, text that is cut off, and anything that looks different between iPhone and Android. DEVICES Tell me exactly which phones you will test on (model and operating system version). I am looking for a spread: older and newer iPhones, and a mix of Android phones (not only Samsung, and ideally at least one older or mid-range model). Testers who can cover more than one phone are preferred. You must be able to download apps from the US App Store and US Google Play store. ACCOUNTS AND DATA RULES (please read) - Create your own account at [login to view URL], then sign in on the phone app. Use the "Try a demo team" option, or create your own test team and name it starting with "QA -". - Do NOT enter anyone else's name, email, or phone number. For parent contact fields, use only your own details or leave them blank. The app can send real text messages. - Do NOT leave ratings or reviews for SubCav on the App Store or Google Play. - Do NOT attempt security testing, hacking, or load testing of the servers. This is a usability and bug test only. BUG REPORT FORMAT (required for every bug) - Phone model and operating system version - The "Update ID" shown in the app under More > Help & About > About > Details for support - Steps to make it happen, numbered - What you expected vs. what happened - Screenshot or screen recording - Severity: Blocker (cannot continue / crash / stuck on a screen), Major, Minor, or Cosmetic DELIVERABLE One report (spreadsheet or document) with all bugs in the format above, plus a separate list of improvement suggestions. Include the list of phones you tested on. Put optional feature suggestions in their own section at the end of the report. BUDGET AND TIMELINE Fixed price: [your budget]. Deadline: [date, e.g. 7 days from award]. There may be follow-up rounds to re-test fixes. TO APPLY, PLEASE INCLUDE 1. The phones you will test on (model + OS version). 2. A short example of a bug report you have written before. 3. How many days you need.

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I see that you’re looking for QA testing for the SubCav app aimed at youth soccer coaches. This initiative is important, and a thorough testing process is essential for user satisfaction. The real challenge often lies in ensuring usability across different devices, especially with a varied user base. A common issue in apps like this is integrating features for both coaches and players while maintaining a smooth experience. The tricky part is ensuring that all user roles have appropriate access without overwhelming them. My approach would involve creating a comprehensive test plan that covers functional, usability, and performance testing. I’d focus on maintaining a clear path for user interactions and thoroughly vetting any complex integrations. Having worked on similar mobile applications, I understand the need for stability and future-proofing in dynamic environments like youth sports. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific user roles should be prioritized in testing? Q2 – Are there existing integrations or features you want to focus on? Q3 – What are your expectations for scaling as user adoption grows? Happy to discuss the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi, I can thoroughly test your SubCav app across real iPhone and Android devices, covering the complete user flow from account setup and roster creation through game setup, live gameplay, halftime, stats, and settings. I’ll focus especially on usability issues that can affect coaches during a live game, including keyboard overlap, status bar/notch issues, cut-off text, hidden buttons, navigation problems, crashes, and differences between iOS and Android. I can test on iPhone 13 (iOS 18), iPhone 11 (iOS 17), Samsung Galaxy S23 (Android 15), and Google Pixel 7 (Android 15), giving you a mix of newer and older devices. For every issue, I’ll provide the exact device/OS, Update ID, reproduction steps, expected vs. actual behavior, severity, and screenshots or screen recordings. I’ll also provide a separate section for usability and feature improvement suggestions. Example bug report: - Device: iPhone 11 – iOS 17 - Steps: 1. Open Game Setup → 2. Select a player → 3. Open Position Restrictions - Expected: All options should be visible and selectable. - Actual: The bottom option is partially hidden and cannot be selected without scrolling. - Severity: Minor - Evidence: Screenshot attached. I can complete the full testing cycle and report within 5–7 days, including at least two complete game simulations. Would you like me to start with the full app testing and provide the report in a spreadsheet format? Best, Hammad

Hi, I understand you need a careful hands-on QA test of SubCav on real iPhone and Android devices. I will check the full coach journey, from account setup and roster creation through game setup, halftime, substitutions, stats, gallery, settings, and help. I will also run two complete games and check issues such as keyboard overlap, notch/status-bar problems, blocked screens, cut-off text, crashes, and differences between devices. I will record each issue with the phone model, OS version, Update ID, clear numbered steps, expected and actual results, severity, and screenshot or recording. I will keep all test data private, use only my own details, and avoid reviews, security testing, and load testing. I will provide a separate list of usability, feature, and optional improvement suggestions in the final report. I can share the exact device models and OS versions before starting, along with a sample bug report. Which exact iPhone and Android OS versions are currently most important for this test, and should the report include video evidence for every reproducible issue? Please also confirm whether you prefer the final report in a spreadsheet or document.

Testing this app properly means more than tapping through screens once—it needs real match-flow use across different phones, especially on the live game screen where coaches are under pressure and small UI issues become real problems. I’d test every screen listed, run two full games including halftime, and log bugs with exact reproduction steps, expected vs actual result, severity, screenshots/recordings, phone model, OS, and Update ID. I’ve handled QA passes for mobile apps where the main issues were layout breakpoints, hidden controls under notches/status bars, keyboard overlap, stuck modals, and platform-specific behavior differences between iPhone and Android. For this one, I’d also keep a separate usability/improvement section focused on sideline speed, clarity, and coach workflow rather than mixing those notes into bug logs. I can test on: - iPhone 13 iOS 18.x - iPhone XR iOS 17.x - Samsung Galaxy A52 Android 14 - Motorola G54 Android 14 Sample bug format: “Android 14 / Galaxy A52 / Update ID: #### — Steps: 1) Open roster 2) Edit player note 3) Tap field near bottom. Expected: field stays visible above keyboard. Actual: keyboard covers save area. Severity: Major.” Do you want the final report in Google Sheets style or document style, and would you like the improvements list prioritized by impact?

Hello, I’m interested in performing a thorough hands-on QA and usability test of SubCav across real iOS and Android devices. I can test the complete user journey, including login, roster/player management, scheduling, game setup, field layout, position restrictions, substitution setup, live game mode, halftime, stats, gallery, settings and help screens. I’ll also specifically check for crashes, UI issues, keyboard overlap, notch/status-bar problems, cut-off text, navigation issues, performance concerns and differences between devices. **Devices:** I will provide the exact phone models and OS versions I use before testing begins. I will run at least two complete games from setup through finish and document every reproducible issue with: • Device + OS version • Update ID • Numbered reproduction steps • Expected vs. actual result • Screenshot/screen recording • Severity classification I’ll deliver a well-organized spreadsheet/report containing all bugs, tested devices, usability improvements and a separate section for optional feature suggestions. Example bug format: **Major – Android:** Live game button becomes partially hidden after keyboard opens. Steps: 1. Open Game Setup → 2. Edit player → 3. Open keyboard → 4. Return to setup. Expected: Button remains fully accessible. Actual: Button is partially covered and difficult to tap. I’m detail-oriented and will test the app from the perspective of a real coach using it under time pressure on the sideline.

I would test SubCav as an actual coach would use it, not just tap through individual screens. That means setting up a team, preparing games, running at least two complete matches through halftime and finish, checking substitutions/timers/stats, and then repeating key flows across iOS and Android. My confirmed physical test devices include: • iPhone X, iOS 16.0 • Samsung Galaxy S7, Android 8.0 I also have access to an iPhone 17 Pro Max and will include its exact installed iOS version in the final device matrix. For every defect I’ll provide device/OS, Update ID, numbered reproduction steps, expected vs actual result, screenshot or screen recording, and Blocker/Major/Minor/Cosmetic severity. Example format: Major | iPhone X / iOS 16.0 1. Open Game Setup 2. Edit a player field near the bottom of the screen 3. Tap the text field Expected: field remains visible above keyboard. Actual: keyboard covers the active field and the screen cannot scroll far enough to expose it. I’ll also keep usability improvements and optional feature ideas separate from confirmed bugs. Deliverable: one complete QA report covering all requested screens, two full games, cross-device findings, evidence, improvement recommendations, and the tested-device matrix.

Hi, SubCav’s goal to provide equitable playing time through a live substitution management app requires a seamless and consistent user experience across diverse mobile devices. The main technical risk is ensuring UI reliability and functional consistency across multiple phone models and OS versions, especially given the live game context. While my core expertise lies in AI and backend architectures, I understand the importance of rigorous end-to-end testing to validate system behavior under real-world conditions. My experience leading complex, production-grade systems has trained me to identify critical failure points and design workflows that isolate and address them efficiently. I’d recommend structuring the QA process to clearly separate functional testing from UI/UX edge cases, enabling focused bug triage and faster retesting cycles. Early validation of device-specific UI issues and input handling will reduce downstream risks. Though this role is outside my primary domain, I can help outline a robust test plan that emphasizes critical user flows and device coverage to ensure stable production readiness. Thanks, Clifton

✓ Available to start immediately and can perform a thorough real-device QA pass across the full SubCav app, focusing on real coach workflows rather than only scripted checks. The main priority will be identifying issues that could disrupt a coach during a live game—layout problems, navigation blockers, crashes, keyboard/notch issues, inconsistent behavior and unclear interactions. Will cover: Login, roster, player details & scheduling Game setup, field layout & position restrictions Live game timer and substitution alerts Halftime → game completion workflow Stats, gallery, settings & help Keyboard/status-bar/notch issues iOS vs Android UI differences Two complete end-to-end game runs Screenshots/screen recordings for every confirmed bug Severity classification exactly as requested Separate usability/improvement recommendations Final spreadsheet/document with device coverage Device coverage: Available Android testing can include a modern Android device plus a mid-range/older Android device. iOS coverage should be confirmed based on the specific devices available before claiming exact models/OS versions. Bug report example: Device → Update ID → Steps → Expected → Actual → Evidence → Severity The requested US App Store/Google Play availability and exact device list should be confirmed before testing, rather than overstating access. ✓ Ready to review the current build and testing requirements and begin the QA pass immediately.

I can perform a structured, hands-on QA pass of SubCav across real iOS and Android devices, covering the complete coach workflow from account setup and roster creation through game setup, halftime, live substitutions, completion, stats, gallery, settings, and help. I will test two full games and specifically verify keyboard behavior, notches/status bars, screen navigation, text clipping, responsiveness, crashes, and platform differences. I will document every issue with reproducible numbered steps, expected versus actual behavior, severity, device/OS details, Update ID, and supporting screenshots or recordings. Improvement suggestions and optional feature ideas will be separated clearly from confirmed defects. My planned device coverage is iPhone 13 (current iOS), iPhone SE (older iOS), Google Pixel 7 (current Android), and a mid-range Motorola device (current Android), subject to confirming available OS versions before testing. I will use only my own account and permitted test data, avoid reviews and security testing, and provide a clean spreadsheet or document suitable for developer triage. Example bug report format: Device: Google Pixel 7, Android 14 Steps: 1. Open game setup. 2. Tap a player field. 3. Enter text with the keyboard open. Expected: The active field and save control remain visible. Actual: The keyboard obscures the save control and the screen does not scroll. Severity: Major Evidence: Screen recording attached.
