I am creating an android app to send messages to the Google Cloud Messaging service, which will forward the message to an [url removed, login to view] app I have on my web server. I want my web app to send messages back to GCM and have GCM route that message to the correct phone and have that phone display the return message in a TextView running on the main activity. For now, I'm not worried about multiple phones, just one. So I am doing a basic proof of concept with no bells and whistles. I have all of the code in place to do this, but there are a few gaps in the Android documentation, so I'm confused about a few parts of how to receive the message and display it on the phone.
So I would like to give someone my current source code, have them fix it or add to it, and then answer some questions for me. It will probably only need a few lines of code to make it work as all of the infrastructure is already in place and working.
So this will be about an hour or two at most where I show you code and ask you questions about what to add or change and why. It will be much more about answering questions than writing code, so good communications skills will be very helpful. I am a knowledgeable enough developer to understand your answers. Also, the [url removed, login to view] web app is in C#, so you need to know not just how to read C#, but how to write it as well.
You will also need a fairly deep understanding of Google Cloud Messaging and Push Notifications Java is assumed as this is an android app.
