I have an iPhone app currently under development and we are facing some problems with the notification part of the app.
It's basically a Ad Promotion app (similar to groupon)...the key is...when a user is within 250m from these Ads, the app should notify the user of these nearby Ads.
The problem is the app doesn't do that with it being totally closed (double click home button & slide up). It notifies ONLY when the app is on background...and it keeps repeating it over and over until totally closed. The notification will only start when i have the app opened (after clicking a particular page too).
This makes the notification function pointless because there's no point in having users to open the app first, then notification sounds off for ads that they may have already seen.
I would like to know what is the problem with this and hopefully can hire someone who's experienced with iOS push notification to help fix this problem quickly.
If you've never done any apps that involves push notification (with apple servers) or are just starting out with app development, please do not apply. We need problem solvers and we'll not hesitate to give you a 1 star review if you came and waste our time.

Hi There, I can help you with this with a quick turn around time. I've done several apps with push notifications before so this should be pretty straight forward. Thanks!
hi, your problem is when the app is closed it cannot monitor gps position and cannot make local notifications. iOS never let you use the gps with the app closed. i think you don't have any option to do that.
