I would like a UK medical dictionary which integrates into the IOS native word correction/recognition system.
The application will comprise of a single downloadable application which will give users the option to add;
A full UK medical word glossary for use when inputting words (the list I will compile from multiple sources an provide). Currently one can add words individually to the native keyboard in iOS settings. I would rather a way to bulk add suggestions so that one can use the native in built keyboard. I would like the autocorrect system to recognise words from medical dictionary as ‘correct’ and not need correcting + will autocorrect if slightly misspelt. I.e. currently abciximab (a drug name) comes up as a misspelt word. I would like the dictionary to correctly identify this as abciximab and not highlight as misspelt and furthermore if I were to type abviximab I would like to to autocorrect to abciximab.
Furthermore the app would bulk add a list of common abbreviations/keyboard shortcuts (the list I will also provide). So that the iOS will automatically have multiple abbreviations ready for the user rather than having to add them individually. A common example would be the abbreviation ABX this would then refer to Antibiotics.
I would like to do this without having to create another keyboard interface as I have found these on competitor applications to be slower and less responsive to typing and often the typing experience is so poor that it results in erroneous input of even normal words.
I am currently compiling lists for addition to the keyboards and a list of abbreviations.
