3D Model of the inside of Alcatraz Prison + Textured

As we previously discussed I would like you to model the inside of the Alcatraz prison for me.

In response to the other questions you have asked me so far:

With the poly count, try to keep it as low as possible, but without sacrificing too much quality. The main poly count issue will arise with the mass of cells in each cell block. I would say try to keep the poly count below 500k in one render. It is therefore necessary to model each cell as a separate object for occlusion culling purposes. Where possible separate objects are better than one big mesh. I started modelling the cells myself. Please find my work attached. It will give you some idea of how I would like the cells to be modelled as separate objects, but I am sure you can do a much better job of it than me. Please also note the air vent at the back of the cell. This is what the connection between the utility corridors and the rooms / cells should be like.

I would like the finished files to be in .max format so I can open them in my 3ds Max 10. Textures are preferable in .png format and individually must be no larger than 2048 x 2048 resolution. When in my game I need for my cameras to be able to view the models / textures from a third person camera distance in a good resolution. On the flip side the total file size of all the textures must also be kept under control to a maximum of 500Mb. I will let you as the artists decide what you think is best for the balance between texture resolution and file size. I'm not sure if you know this already, but to preserve the texturing co-ordinates in Unity3d, every textured object must have a type of UVW modifier applied.

It would be useful to separate the following map areas into different files:

1. A - D Block (cells - walls only, no contents) + Library, utility corridors, & gun galleries (levels 1 - 3).

2. Administration block offices.

3. Dining hall, kitchen, hospital

4. Basement (cells - walls only, no contents)

5. Full detail cell model

As we have just agreed our milestones will be:

1 - A - D block of main prison + library completed.

2 - Administration block office rooms completed.

3 - Basement area completed.

4 - Dining hall, kitchen, and hospital + anything else complete and finished project delivered.
