46-Star Throwback Pop Album

I’m assembling a one-off, all-singing UK supergroup made up of 46 well-known young male and female vocalists. The goal is a super-deluxe double (possibly triple) studio release that blends “old-school” 1990s adult-oriented pop sensibilities with fresh contemporary gloss. Think lush vocal stacks, live horns, slick guitar lines, lush live strings, and modern synth layers co-existing in the same session. Repertoire • Previously unheard songs written between the 1980s and 2020s by iconic songwriters (we are in the process of securing publishing clearance). • Brand-new material that still feels 1990s AOR/pop, to be commissioned from living hitmakers. • Selected tracks will feature surprise guest artists and session legends. What I need from you I’m looking for a partner who can take charge of three interconnected areas: 1. Songwriting – shaping new melodies/lyrics to sit comfortably alongside the archival cuts, preserving that polished radio-friendly hook craft. 2. Production – a hybrid approach is essential: real drums, bass, brass and strings tracked in a live room (SSL/Neve front end preferred) married with modern digital programming and sound-design in Pro Tools, Logic Pro or Ableton. You should feel at home bouncing between tape-style warmth and in-the-box precision. 3. Artist Coordination – scheduling vocal sessions for 46 headline artists, organising feature spots, liaising with management, and ensuring everyone signs off on final takes. Key deliverables • Fully arranged and produced masters ready for mixing and stem delivery. • Vocal session plans and call sheets for each artist, signed off by management. • Publishing split sheets and writer credits finalised. • A production timeline that keeps us on track for a Q4 release. Acceptance criteria • Each final mix must meet current loudness standards (-14 LUFS for streaming, alternate masters for CD/vinyl). • Vocals from all 46 core singers will perform all songs in solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets etc. • New compositions blend seamlessly with archival songs in both key and era-appropriate production style.
