I am using an using Futronic FS 28 finger print identification machine to enroll clients. These enrolled clients are now downloaded to the PC and saved in the Javadb database as BLOB objects. I donot want duplicate finger prints to be saved in the database, hence I want to always perform a check on the database to be sure a new finger print record is saved only if it has not already been saved in the database. I also want to use this same process for identification. I am using hibernate in a java web app (running windows 7 with tomcat6, jre 6, javadb, JDK 6.)
The system works great except for the fingerprint recognition for users. Enrolling fingerprints works fine and saves the fingerprint image successfully. When reading the same fingerprint the result is always "No matching fingerprint found". I need someone to sort out the problem.
