Simple function. I need to stop access to a section on a website (ie: [login to view URL] From shoing unless a visitor sings in. The sign in function needs to work through our API to check if the visitor is a customer of ours. If he is a customer access is accepted. If not access is denied and a message with a link (sing up page) will prompt the customer to sign up with us. The function preferably needs to work on as an overlay.
API information of our system will be provided by us.
You will be working on a .net SnS API
You will implement the task on a Wordpress comparison website
Below are details examples of how you can do it. But it is only as an example
Implementing the login integration:
Use case 1:
- User clicks on the "Offers" button on the navigation, which is a password protected
page
- User sees the Restricted Access/Login page instead of seeing the "Offers"
page
- User enters his SnS credentials on the form provided (within the comparison
site)
- User sees an error message (in case of wrong credentials) or the Offers page
(in case of valid credentials)
- After visiting, the user clicks on "Logout" and is redirected to the comparison
site homepage
Use case 2:
- User clicks on "Login" on the site header while on the homepage (or any
other public page)
- User sees the Restricted Access/Login page
- User enters his SnS credentials on the form provided (within the comparison
site)
- User sees an error message (in case of wrong credentials) or the page where
he came from (in case of valid credentials)
- The user's name is displayed on the header, along with a link to his profile
(links to SnS site) and a logout link
- If the user clicks on his profile link, he will reach the login page on the SnS
site.
Implementation tasks:
- Creating the URL restriction and cookie detection functionality, adding it to
Wordpress templates
- Creating the login form functionality and integration with SnS authentication
API
