Experienced C#/SQL developer needed to consolidate two similar websites. These websites are identical in functionality, but differ in cosmetics and database back-end. The databases will need to be modified to have the same schema – but will contain data specific to each. The system is currently able to modify the appearance of the website based on the domain accessed – but will have to be extended to allow for a third domain. For example – when a user accesses the site at [url removed, login to view] it shows one skin, when they access it at [url removed, login to view] it shows a second – this project will be to add a third skin to that system. There will be no graphic design work as the new skin is already done, just not implemented. Additionally, when the application is running in the third skin mode – it will need to change the connection string to access data in the secondary database.
The project consists of these elements:
1.) Extend the current skinning system to allow for a third skin.
2.) Implement the third skin.
3.) Modify the schema of one database to match that of another (tables, stored procs, etc).
4.) Modify application to allow for database connection string change depending on the skin in use.
5.) All code must be written in C# with naming conventions and code style that matches the existing code base.
I am the original developer on this application and will be able to explain all mechanisms in use and direct you on how to implement new functionality.
I estimate this project to take 50-60 hours. It must be completed within one week.
This project is one of many I am going to be issuing. I have been the sole developer on this project for 2 years and we are growing faster than I can keep up with the work. My goal is to find a developer that I can work with on an ongoing basis if this is completed on time and on budget.
Phone communication is CRITICAL – I will only accept offers from developers I can work with directly on the phone. This means that I do not want a team where I work with the project manager and the developers are then relayed my information. Before I choose a winning bid, I will need to have a phone conversation with the developer to ensure we are able to communicate well.
All bids must contain the following:
1.) Your bid amount
2.) Examples of previous C# Web Application and SQL work done by you personally.
3.) References from previous clients. (Must have done C#/SQL work)
4.) A phone number where I can contact you prior to accepting your bid
