I need a very basic program written in VB.Net (preferably in VS2008). It needs to read all of the ACCESS Database from a selected folder, copy the content from all data tables and then write to another ACCESS database (of the same name) in a different folder.
A template/example database file is attached but please write it so that it is generic and will read any file and copy all its table. DO NOT copy any hidden tables or MS system files, just the normal user table is required.
The reason I need this program is because I have some files in a machine that can only be able to open from that machine, once moved away from it, I am unable to open in ACCESS. I think there is a bug in ACCESS that cause this problem. I need to find a way to move the data out, into another file that I can read from any machine.
Attached are [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view] and template Blank.mdb. The files are password protected (password="111222333"). If you want to directly open these files into ACCESS, you will be able to do so for Blank and Will_Open. Cant_Open will teakes you to the splash screen in ACCESS. You can use these three files to test your code. The project is complete when you can demonstrate transferring data from Cant_Open to another file of the same name.
Alternatively, you do not need to write any codes if you can fix the problem of opening the ACCESS database on any machine. I need to know the exact method as I have more than 200 of these Cant_Open.mdb with me.
