You can bid to do just part of the website design/development. My price is low because this is the first time I've posted a job here. I don't expect the whole thing to be completed for $250 to $750. But, let me know what you would be willing to complete for that amount. We can start with an outline of the web design, color scheme, etc. Then you can fill in as much functionality as you are willing to do for the small project price. If I like your services, I can have your company do the rest of the development.
The goal of the development project:
A website with as much ease of use, friendliness and functionality as SitterCity.com. It must be different enough though to avoid copyright infringement. But, I'd like the design to be inspired by SitterCity, since it seems to be the number one company in that market.
The business functions like a jobs website. Baby sitters post their resumes, availability, etc. Parents pay monthly to use the site's services, perform background checks, see references, rate sitters, etc. You can sign up for free to view the functionality of the site.
I am an experienced .net web developer, but I do not want to develop the website by myself. I get bogged down by details and lose site of the overall business. I would like the site to be developed in c# and ASP.net. It can be version 2005 or 2008 of visual studio, but I would like to avoid too much stuff like LINQ that I haven't used yet. I'm experienced in SQL server and database development, so that is the database system I would like to use.
