This coding challenge is part of the interview process for a Back-End Software Developer position at PastureMap ([login to view URL]). It is meant for candidates to show their problem-solving abilities and demonstrate their coding skills.
Develop a simple RESTful Web service for mobile device management. The server should accept incoming data, store it, and retrieve it on request. It does not need to perform any data sanitizing or processing, other than adding a timestamp. The data should be returned in JSON format.
The incoming data will have the following fields:
DeviceID, DeviceName, BatteryStatus, Longitude, Latitude
Queries are made based on DeviceID. Bonus consideration will be given to submissions that include unit tests.
