SUMMARY We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who has 4+ years of valuable technical experience in software development, specifically with TypeScript. The ideal candidate has worked on multiple Node.js REST APIs actively in production. Please start your proposal with "Node rocks!" to help us filter out spam proposals. Our engineering team is a small, nimble team of software engineers building web and mobile applications for our clients in healthcare, real estate, and more. We build secure, end-to-end solutions that focus on scalability and accessibility. We talk once a day Monday-Friday during our scrum stand-ups, chat via Slack, commit code to GitHub and track tickets via Jira. RESPONSIBILITIES • Commit code to GitHub that delivers required functionality as provided by the project manager • Write unit tests to ensure adequate code coverage for new features • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that can define an engineering roadmap • Coordinate with project management to ensure the accuracy of SOWs and timelines on new projects • Collaborate with internal UX/design team to bring incredible products to life for our clients KEY QUALIFICATIONS • 4+ years of valuable technical experience in software development, specifically with TypeScript • Outstanding in-depth knowledge of web applications and TDD • Demonstrated history of success shipping new products to production with Node • Extraordinary communication and presentation skills to all levels of an organization • Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, schedules and replans; progress and status meetings) • Demonstrated and superior experience in diagnosing technical issues BONUS • Experience with Docker TECHNOLOGIES • TypeScript • Node • MySQL • Google Cloud Platform
