Hi, Do you need true multi-company separation (company-specific records) or a single-company with role-scoped menus — i.e., should contacts/products be owned by a company record on creation, and which company should be the creator’s default? Are you on Odoo Online (SaaS) with no custom module install constraints — and if so, are you OK using only Odoo Studio, server actions/automations, and built-in record rules (no custom Python addons)? For approvals & alerts: do you want a one-step Admin approval (change draft → approved) that creates a read-only archived record, or an approval that creates an immutable approved copy while keeping the draft editable? I’ll implement scoped access using company ownership + RBAC by creating three dedicated user groups (Finance, Ops, Customer Service) and assigning each group a default company and limited menu access. Contacts & Products will use a “state” field (draft → approved) with record rules so drafts are visible only to creator + Admin; once approved the record’s state=approved and a record-rule makes it read-only for sub accounts. Mobile parity is enforced by the same access groups (Odoo mobile respects server-side rules).
