Overview
Use the programming language of your choice to build a basic image using 2D graphics primitives. You may use one of the languages I described, or explore another language or library.
Procedure
Learn how to create a canvas (or the equivalent) in your language. On the canvas, create an image that is some combination of the following effects:
Basic shapes like rectangles, ellipses, and lines
Rendered Text
Image rendered on the canvas
It should have some sort of pattern. It can be a picture of something or some kind of abstract work, but it shouldn't just be random splotches (unless of course, you have figured out something really cool to do with random splotches)
You may add other features if you wish, including these:
Use loops or functions to create a more interesting image than simply a drawing (fractals, for example, or a moire pattern.
Allow some user interactivity (to create a basic drawing program, for example)
Create a basic animation (Note we will cover this in far more detail later.)
What to turn in
Of course, this project can be in a lot of different formats. Please turn in the following:
Documentation - can be in any readable format: markdown, HTML, Doc, PDF. Describe what your project does, what you learned along the way, and any information we need to run the project including languages, libraries.
Screen shot of results - A standard image file showing the final results of your project.
Source code - Can be posted on Tesla or some other server, but provide link. Can also be a githup repo. Please include a make file or equivalent if practical.
