I have a small home-automation module that needs a reliable touch interface, so the task is to engineer a 5 V circuit around the TTP223 that cleanly switches between high and low digital levels whenever it is touched. Precision in sensitivity and long-term stability matter more to me than squeezing out the very last microamp, yet the design should still sit comfortably in standby without wasting power. Key expectations • The sensor must tolerate normal household electrical noise without false triggering. • Output logic levels must be directly MCU-friendly (TTL/CMOS, active-high preferred). • Component count should stay minimal; surface-mount parts are fine. • Any necessary debounce or filtering should happen in hardware rather than firmware. Deliverables 1. Complete schematic in KiCad, Altium, or equivalent, plus PDF for quick review. 2. Routed PCB layout with Gerbers, drill files, and pick-and-place data. 3. Bill of materials listing manufacturer part numbers and availability notes. 4. Brief test procedure showing the circuit toggling a 5 V LED or GPIO pin. 5. Short design note explaining key decisions (sensitivity setting, grounding, shielding, etc.).
