I have an open-hardware setup that links a meshcore nRF52840 repeater to a Raspberry Pi, all powered by a 5 W solar panel and small battery pack. The Pi should stay asleep until the repeater’s heartbeat stops, then wake, push the latest meshcore firmware, and put the radio back online. Before I fabricate anything, I need an experienced hardware designer to go over the schematic and improve it, with special attention to two areas that matter most to me: • Mainboard layout – it must be tidy, electrically sound, and robust enough for harsh, remote installs. • Clock timing around the 4060 IC – the current RC network drifts; please replace it with a resonator or another stable solution and verify the timing math. I’m aiming for higher overall reliability, so check every signal path that touches the Pi header, the nRF52840 breakout, the solar charge controller, and the MOSFET that switches the Pi on and off.
