I have a new NetApp system that needs to run as a dedicated Fibre Channel SAN. I need someone who can walk in (on-site) and take the array from factory state to a fully functioning, high-performing storage backbone for my servers. The work spans three clear areas: • Initial setup & configuration – rack-up checks, FC switch zoning, ONTAP initialization, aggregate & volume design, LUN creation, multipath setup on hosts, and end-to-end testing. • Troubleshooting & problem resolution – identify and clear any cabling, zoning, or protocol issues that appear during rollout. • Performance tuning & optimization – set best-practice queue depths, caching, and adaptive QoS policies so the array sustains peak throughput with low latency. I’m running pure Fibre Channel; no iSCSI or FCoE on this project, so deep knowledge of Brocade/Cisco FC switches, WWN zoning, NPIV, and NetApp ONTAP CLI/System Manager will be essential. Acceptance criteria 1. All planned hosts can see their assigned LUNs with multipath active and paths listed as optimal. 2. FCP, disk, and CPU utilization remain within recommended thresholds under an I/O workload we’ll supply. 3. A concise hand-over document covers the final zoning map, aggregate/volume layout, and the tuning changes you applied. If you’re confident with NetApp ONTAP and Fibre Channel best practices, I’m ready to get started right away.
