I run a virtual tour business. I shoot still photos of homes that I stitch together to create panoramic images which I then upload to the Internet to be viewed in a java applet that makes it seem like the viewer is spinning around and looking around the property. tallytours(dot)com for sample tours on the home page...
What I need is to somehow be able to create video files out of the tour / panoramic images. AVI / quicktime / wmv ? unsure what format(s) I'll need but the more the better. I would prefer if someone could help build a program that will take my high-quality panoramic .jpg image, convert it to video and export at a decent enough resolution that can be viewed on a tv screen. I don't just want the video to pan across the image, I need it to appear like it is spinning, just like the interactive virtual tour java applet does that I am using now. I'm not sure how the java applet works but I don't think I can access it either as I go through another vendor for my tours hosted online.
I would also like: To have it pan to the right (as if the camera were rotating clockwise). Be able to start each panoramic scene at a pre-defined point before the video conversion.
It can be either one video per scene, or create a full version of all the scenes playing back to back (preferred).
I have attached a lower quality panoramic jpg to this posting so you can see what I want to work with.
If you have any other suggestions as to how I may be able to create video out of my tours, please let me know, but I think doing it directly from the JPG images will give me the best quality. Thanks.
