ASP/ADO programmer needed several small scripting tasks. Must know: ASP 3.0, ADO, XML, MS SQL 2000 Primary Tasks are 1 and 2, we may add to project 3 and 4, so i have included them: 1. Lead verification process. We have an ASP web application that interacts with our SQL 2000 server database that receives HTTP POSTs, process the data in the name/value pairs (and stores to a table). This script needed verifies phone numbers we received to table in local database, then verifies record uniqueness. If both checks succeed, then we write the successful "validated" records to the database (preferably records values for Validated, Validated Unique, or 'bad' so to speak). After the lead verification process, we need to add a step in the functionality ("remote validation") that will continue on to format a request using the data submitted in the HTTP POST (that are successes/validated), and send it to a URL and processes the response and store it in a table in the local database. The request for the remote verification is done via HTTP Post with an XML formatted request string and an XML Response code is returned. 2. Create a script for an auto-responder email that is triggered by an insert into a specific table (can be the same table used that we receive leads in step 1). We have the html template to use for the email. We need variables set to pull client info into template and send via smtp. FTP Access will be given to our server for files. Changes to the db will be made by a backup ftp’d server. We’ll restore it over the current test database. We own these servers so we can add any COM components that we need that may add functionality or make a process easier. Other similar small projects (help desk script, nightly file creation, etc) are possible once we get these 2 done and can be added as bonuses for our selected coder/team.. Please note, we ask all scripts be commented.
