**_Creating Excel and Word Documents from ASP. NET Application_**
We have an ASP.NET web application that allows users to answer questions over the web. All data is stored in a SQL Server 2000 database.
We need the application to programmatically create Excel spreadsheets and Word documents which summarize the data in the database. Please use VB.NET code.
The attached zip file contains: ASP.NET web application with a single web form; a SQL Server database with one table and Excel Spreadsheets and a Word Document.
The way the application will work is that a user will click on one of the buttons on the web form ([url removed, login to view]) to create Excel spreadsheets and a word document. Your job is to write code to assemble the Excel spreadsheets and a Word document from the database that is identical to the attached samples and redirect the browser to the Excel spreadsheets and a Word document that was dynamically created. Please let me know how you will do the work (e.g. will code create the Excel and Word documents when requested or will you use a Excel/Word Server component that queues up jobs?)
The users will have Word and Excel on their computer. If it is best to use any third-party controls or components to provide this functionality, please let us know.
