This is a small .ASP administrative front-end for a well-ordered and simple .mdb database. I have included the database in the .zip file here. the database consists of six tables. the main one is called "resources". All of the other tabes are logically arranged and indexed to each other. The "resources" are items which appear on my free page, www.freechecklists.net. I want you to create a small administrative front end for this database in .asp. All six tables need the following: ADD a new record / EDIT record / DELETE record. There are NO cascading deletes (in other words, if something is deleted, it is only deleted in that table, even if this leaves an "orphan" entry.) Of course, when editing a record, for example, in the 'resources' table, one should not have to select a number for the resourcetype ID (ie "3") but rather should select a resource type from a drop-down box that then this fills in the ID. the only exception to this is for the "special notes" - here it's ok to simply select from a dropdown that says "Special Note #1" as the special note itself is a memo field. this does not have to be very pretty, as it will only be used by a few people. however, you are welcome to make links to the images used at [url removed, login to view] if you like to make it prettier. the whole thing should be protected by a username and password. this can be static in the .asp file. please use highly-unique session variable names, if you use them ie session("chklstpassword") is ok, session("password") is not. database connection string will be of this sort: Set db=[url removed, login to view]("[url removed, login to view]") db.Provider="Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0" [url removed, login to view]([url removed, login to view]("/database/[url removed, login to view]")) field types you can get from the database structure. thank you for your bids!
.asp file or files that make the application described above. I get full rights to the code. no gpl code, third party components, etc. just straight .asp code.
