We are looking to convert a web page "on the fly" to PDF format. This is a dynamic report that is generated using ASP. We want to give users the option of downloading the same report (as they see on their screen) in PDF format.
The site is written in ASP. We need to be able to input a website URL, and have the system output a PDF version of that web page.
Convert "[url removed, login to view]" to "[url removed, login to view]" and the PDF document would simply look like a printed version of the ASP page.
We have come across a number of PDF convertors that work in ASP, but they seem to either create a new PDF from a set of paramaters you pass in (rather than converting an existing web page), or can convert other types of documents to PDF, such as .doc. Have not found anything that allows you to feed it a website URL and return a PDF version of that web page.
We are willing to purchase any necessary server components to accomplish this task.
We realize that since the functionality of this project will probably depend on us purchasing server components, that you may just be providing us with instructions on which component(s) to purchase and the code for how they "will" work once installed.
