The Shrimala Trust is a Buddhist charity that hosts events where Buddhist teachings are given. These teachings (lectures) are recorded on audio tapes. We have a database stored on our website containing information about each tape in our archive of audio tapes. We need a web interface so that the archivist can print out precisely-formatted labels and inlay cards for these tapes from her browser.
In practice this means we need ASP scripts that extracts the info from the database for selected tapes and return an HTML page that is very precisely formatted using CSS positioning. First there's a form where the user selects from a dynamic list of all tapes and selects what options they want; second there's the precisely formatted labels and inlay cards pages.
The functional ASP parts of this job are easy. The difficult bit is going to be the CSS formatting and layout. Getting this precisely right is going to take hours of fiddling, and printing of many many test pages. Don't underestimate how time-consuming this job will be. The coder must have good knowledge of CSS-2 positioning - don't bid if you don't.
I have actually already started this project myself, and the attached code should take care of some of the work for you. It demonstrates what the inlay card script might be like, gives some idea of the many nested divs positioned using CSS that will be needed.
Attached is a full detailed brief, as well as samples of the printed output required. Read before bidding - the devil is in the details.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete and
**thoroughly commented** source code of all work done, as detailed in the briefing document attached.
2) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
ASP classic on IIS; Internet Explorer 5 & 6, Netscape navigator 6 & 7.
