I have a project I've been trying to get finished since July, and I've just about had it. It is almost done but still has some work to go to get it deployed. Hopefully someone can give me new hope for RentaCoder. I need this done very quickly, so if you can't guarantee that it will be done in 9 days, please do not bid. I have two different bids for this program, this is the one I would prefer to do, but it depends on which one seems the most realistic to actually get done and work. You are welcome to bid on both.
This is a small desktop order manager and status tracking program. It's written in C# and uses SQL EXPRESS 2008. It allows the details of an order to be inputted, and then the status of the order tracked as each step is checked off manually during production. It also allows scans, attachments and notes to be added.
Currently it only runs on one computer because there is no way to share the database. We would like to make it web accessible, so we can use it in our office, as well as access it from the web. I would prefer to host it on my website's host (Arvixe, I have the ASP capable account), rather than on our own server, but would consider setting up our own server if you can convince me it will be relatively painless and worth the trouble.
We have a start on making webpage access without the desktop application, but the previous coder could not get the database connection to work and needed to move on. While web page access is not absolutely necessary, it would be nice. The webpage access would not need all the functionality of the desktop application (scanning would probably be unnecessary, and adding attachments would be nice, but could be left out) it does definitely need to be able to view the details and status of the orders and the associated attachments.
I am attaching a package of the source code ([url removed, login to view]), as well as the work that was done on the web part ([url removed, login to view]), and the program installer ([url removed, login to view]) To run the program you have to run the database installer, and then the setup from the publish folder.
I realize there might be other options of how to do this, and if you think you can deliver something that meets all my needs, I'm willing to consider any alternatives in terms of programming, database, hosting, etc..I just need to get it working soon!
Please review the program and let me know if you have any questions about it. I'm very flexible in terms of how this is all done, but I absolutely need to have it completed very quickly.

I have found too many bugs and missing features in the desktop application I was seeking to convert. So I am canceling this bid until I can get those resolved. The bid for that new work is here: [url removed, login to view] I am hoping that once I get the application running satisfactorily I can try to get a web version operating.
