I want to expand my services to the web where my employees can receive order information on the road and case managers can place and check orders for their clients. I would want the orders made by the case managers faxed or emailed back to them with confirmation number. Orders may have healthcare information and therefore privacy and security are extremely important. Registration and authentication of case mangers is extremely important.
I am looking for several possible solutions and want the pros and cons of each and certain specifications that would need to be listed in a bid request for each. Also any software or hardware requirements and approximate cost for hardware or software needed to implement the solution. I would also like an estimate range of costs associated with coding each solution.
The final document should be easy to understand by a business owner not just a code writer.
I currently have a ms sql2000 back end to ms access 2000 front end and I am using MS SBS 2000 as server and most workstations are win2000 or xp pro. We have a fractional T1 line to the office.
