We currently have a asp file that has 808 lines of coding. This program needs to be switched to a .NET service so when the server is restarted the application will automatically start. Below is a list of a short description of what the webpage does.
? - Connect to SQL Server 2000 to get the current job to be processed.
? - Verify the users temporary directory on the server is available and delete out any current files
? - Connect to SQL Server again and loop thru records of files that need processed.
? - For each file that is processed it will add extra content into the information (replace a tag) and then save it on the server in the users temporary folder
? - After all files have been processed it will connect to their site via FTP and upload all the files into the correct FTP site (all files will go into the same directory)
? - Send out a email saying that the job has been completed.
Because this is a .NET service it will need to create a log file that I could review to make sure things are running smoothly where every day it would create a new file.
