The last freelancer stopped contacting me, so i am re-listing a project i would like someone to undertake for me. Basically I have some software running (PDW) Which receives and decodes sound messages and displays the appropriate pager messages in both text and HTML format.
What i would like is someone to clone the following site, at least its features (it can look a little different) but so it mirrors the same functions.
The site is: [url removed, login to view];reg=13 and it should have the same features, latest incident for each region, latest incident for each brigade as well as a countdown timer running from the time-stamp on the pager message. and hopefully keep a longer history of all calls for that brigade, region etc. I will run this on a spare laptop i have along with the pager receiving software.
The only difference is, i would like people to be able to log in somehow, or be associated with a brigade, or area. So for example i can set it up so that whenever Narre Warren East Brigade gets a call, it sents an email to people on that list, in addition whenever a call is in a certian area (NAWE1, etc) it sends an email to people who are in the database for that area just saying what the call is etc.
One slight deviation, is having some very very very simple client software that can be set up for a specific brigade, eg Narre Warren East, that will show maps of the latest call as well as the timer. And call details, and weather details. It would essentially be a mirror of the web site in software, just for one specific brigade which could be defined somehow in the software.
It can be done however you want, as long as it works.
This is a small budget project, i really cant go over $250 USD. You can use whatever technology you want, however it may work. The only thing is the web interface should auto refresh, and have a cron script or something that browses the HTML pager feed constantly, i don't want it to do it every 5 mins as messages are time sensitive.
If you want pager message examples, i need you to bid and i will then give you links of the messages.
