After months of brainstorming and weeks trying to create a spec on paper, I have proved that I am over my head.
This solution will ultimately control, document, and diagnose a building automation system.
Rather than waste time rewriting bits of information that will ultimately need reorganization, I would like expert help now to organize my thoughts in a Visio document…and then bid to create a detailed framework using Visio 2003's UML tools.
To be clear, I will write the specification with your guidance suggesting how I should present my information. This may take me a few weeks to complete. Once I complete my end, you will bid on creating a model that can be used as a framework for code.
Bidders may need 1 to 15 hours of time with me to get enough information to establish a protocol that I can use to create a detailed spec.
Do not place a bid on this project until I provide you with a final specification.
I see future phases of this project leveraging these programming languages and technologies: C#, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, SOAP, MSMQ, SQL stored procedures, web services, and other n-tier related technologies. Some of the controls I expect to use are the Visio 2003 API, Bennet-tec’s MetaDraw, and Infragistics .NET Advantage Suite 2003.
I suspect the coding phase (not part of this bid) of this project will be a ‘large business project’ of $5000.00+ by RAC standards and will likely need to be spread out to more than one coder.
I expect to collaborate with bidders on this project using Microsoft NetMeeting.
When you respond to this project, please guarantee you have NetMeeting up and running with voice quality comparable to the telephone. Also please verify that you use headphones, NOT speakers as they create really annoying feedback.
I will work with your schedule whenever possible.
I will require bidders sign an NDA agreement after the specification is complete before it can be viewed.
1) Complete UML based model of a yet-to-be-created project specification. When the specification is completed, it will be posted here.
2) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
