We want a website to initially host a simple web equity trading game.
Users must first register using their email addresses and get a password.
They can then join one of a number of trading games we set up. Each game will consist of either a list of defined users (defined by us) or will be open to all users . A game will start and end at a time defined by ourselves and there can be multiple games a user can join at any one given tine.
A game will consist of the buying and selling of stocks / commodities based on prices provided by yahoo.com. Each player will start with a pre-defined amount (say $1,000,000) to take stock positions in. Orders can be placed to buy / sell stocks at the current price or to buy / sell stocks based on a price input by the user, when the price level is reached the order is executed.
The screens should look similar to the website [url removed, login to view] and contain all the required validation such as purchases cannot be greater in value than a client's current cash position..
The desktop should be flexible as in the above site and show the current profit and loss, currently held positions + prices and prices for major indices ( we will define the list). An option to search for a stock symbol to add to the defined list should be included.
The desktop layout and selected stocks etc should be saved so the screen looks the same the next time the player logs in.
The initial request is for a prototype that we can the build upon with additional requests and refinements.
[url removed, login to view] requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details. Should a dispute arise and this project go into arbitration "as is", the contract's vagueness might cause it to be interpreted against you, even though you were acting in good-faith. So for your protection, if you are interested in this project, please work-out and document the requirements onsite.
we would like the system to be developed in an n-tier design with a set of C# business classes for the various objects (user, simulation, asset, order , order book etc etc). Initially we would like a prototype that mirrors[url removed, login to view] but will want to expand upon it with the developers over the coming year
