(I need this done ASAP, so please state your own deadline. This will be considered in selecting the bid. If you bid today, I might select the bid immediately ) I need to migrate a MSSQL Db from one server to another. Both servers are "remote", i.e. I do not have direct access to them. Both are MSSQL 2000 Of the "original" database I have a .mdf file Also, I can put asp pages on another webserver that access the original database. Of the "destination" server, I have a web-based administration page, and also I can put asp pages on a web server that access the destination server. Also, the help pages for the destination server say I can use several ways to import data: bcp command line copying data from an OLE DB provider INSERT BULK INSERT SELECT INTO The problem is, I don't know which of these methods match with what I have. What I need is to migrate about 20 MB of data from one server to another. I imagine that the following can be a solution: - I send you the mdb file - you put it on your own server - you put it onto the new server. I would anyway prefer is a solution that allows me to do this again on my own, when I have to do this again. For example, an ASP whose output is a long series of SQL statements that clone the DB. Or is this an idio idea? I am quite a newbie in this field, so I apologize for the confused explanation. I guess that this can be a trivial problem for someone. UPDATE: Access through Enterprise Manager is not allowed on the destination server...
