I have an ASP website that has a number of issues. Duplicate content, broken links, duplicate Meta tags and so on. I was hit by the penguin update and my on-page optimization is poor and needs to be improved dramatically. My webmaster is recommending going to a word press to help with on-page optimization and just make it a better experience for users.
I need someone with real experience. I am not that good with programming and don't have the time to watch over someone's shoulder to make sure he or she is doing everything right.
The site has about 100 pages and many can be condensed into one page. This is an e-commerce as well and will require someone with e-commerce experience. I may want to consider moving to a better shopping cart but not a big deal right now. I would like to include all the social media features and possibly a blog or forum to better communicate with potential customers or answer questions for existing customers. I would also like to use dynamic navigation for site. I would also like the winning bidding to create a business face book page and twitter account for site. I have YouTube videos that will need to be placed on site. I will need categories created with proper headings and meta tags along with content taken from my ASP site and moved to WP in the appropriate categories.
I will also want the winning bidder to make sure the switch to WP is smooth and any old broken links are fixed and properly redirected to WP site along with site map submitted to Google.
My site is [login to view URL] we sell RV books and rating guides to customers getting ready to purchase a motorhome, travel trailer or fifth wheel.
My webmaster can assist you with some aspects of job but most tasks will need to be completed by winning bidder.
I would like to see examples of WP sites you have done in the pass and those that look like they are qualified for this job I would like to connect via Skype to conduct a conference call to ask questions and answer any questions you might have.
One of my competitors has a nice site and I like some of the ideas they are using. There website is www.rvguide.com. I like the fact that people can navigate to a RV manufacturer quickly. I don't want to go overboard with custom code but hopefully this gives you an idea of what I am trying to accomplish.
Special Note: If this job goods well, I have two other websites that will need to be converted to WP. I also have three older word press sites that need to be updated to a newer theme. These mini RV sites I own will probably only be 5-7 pages and will not be too complicated, but it needs to be done. My main concern right now is getting the JR Site up-to-date by providing a better user experience.
