My coder has build a smart little php-script for me:
In short, it copies content from [url removed, login to view] to my server.
[url removed, login to view] is a service, which stores website contents, even after the real website doesn't exist anymore.
So I provide an URL like "[url removed, login to view]://ldsociety.com/" to the script, and it gets ALL content on the page(including subpages) and uploads it via FTP to another webhost.
The script is working - but not really good. It's ways to slow and fails on larger dynamic sites.
I'm now seeking a qualified programmer who can make it run efficient. You need to use some kind of multithreading or simultaneous execution of processes to increase the speed of the script to something decent. I'm only seeking someone who has at least medium experience with linux and who knows a few things about making .htaccess files.
Of course you'll get all the code we already have. It's quite well structured and detailled commented. You get a server enviroment as well - dedicated to the script, you can change anything on it to suit your needs.
There has already been a lot of work done. However, this still isn't an easy job - don't underestimate it! Please read the project description twice before you bid and don't hesitate to ask if you're unsure about anything.
Time is an important factor - there are a lot of people waiting for this script to produce results - so I'd really hope for a fast solution of the issues. However, I understand that good work takes time - please bid realistic.
