I have attached and SDK for writing applications to convert PDF files into image files.
The SDK already contains many samples of code very close to what I want to achieve.
(Note this SDK is a trial BUT is fully functional and just adds a watermark to the output file)
I want to use the SDK and it's main DLL ([url removed, login to view]) and the sample code (if neccessary) to write a Command Line application that can convert a PDF into a TIFF file.
All the required commands are in the sample code and Readme files to show how to do this.
I just want to be able to run the command line application and use a few switches (arguments) to control the input and output.
Here is exactly what I need:
I want the command line application to be called [url removed, login to view]
The SDK's [url removed, login to view] enables conversion of PDF to TIF, TIFF, JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, WMF, EMF, PCX, TGA, etc. formats BUT I only need TIFF output.
I just need to be able to use switches (arguments) as follows:
Usage: pdf2img [arguments] -i [url removed, login to view] -o [url removed, login to view]
-i [input PDF file]? : Specify input PDF filename
-o [output TIF file] : Specify output TIFF filename
-m? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? : Set output to multi-page TIFF file,
(the? default is output to single page TIFF files)
-r [resolution]? ? ? ? ? : Set resolution in generated image file? (eg. -r 600 = 600dpi resolution)
-c [compress]? ? ? ? ? ? ? : Set compression method in generated image
? ? -c none? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? : Create TIFF file without compression
? ? -c lzw? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? : Compress TIFF using LZW arithmetic
-q [quality]? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? : Set quality in generated image files? ? (eg. -q 100 , where 100 is best quality)
Here is a real example of exact usage of the command line application I require:
pdf2img -r 600 -c lzw -m -q 100 -i c:\[url removed, login to view] -o c:\[url removed, login to view]
(Note - the filenames and locations of the PDF and output TIFF could be anything and anywhere and may include spaces)
I hope this project is of interest to someone.
