I need a linux programmer to write a sample app which draws GTK controls using the current system look and feel to a pixmap by just drawing the controls without having to creating or maintain Widgets in memory. In other words I want the functionality found in the MacOS appearance manager and the XP theme UI.
Specifically I will send the developer a c++ module called [url removed, login to view] which will contain stub functions like
DrawThemeButton(Rect r, Boolean ishilited, Boolean isfocused)
and the developer implement those functions, use in their sample app so I can review. The developer will also write any metric routines necessary that I can use for tracking.
The app I am developing uses it's own drawing routines for win32, x11, ect..so what we are trying to do is add look and feel support without rewriting our applications or using real widgets.
--ok some more info
[url removed, login to view]
and related modules. That's basically what I am looking for. A file I can add to my project which will draw gtk controls into X11 pixmaps.
window background pattern for current theme
bevel style buttons if availabe
scale style scrollbars
