**Embed Account Info in Font File & Create Installers
** We need your help in embeding the customer's name and account number into the font files they purchase (see sample below). This must be done automatically when they purchase. The customer name and account ID must be embeded both visually and invisibly.
Currently, the font data is stored in binary code in a MySQL table on the server. So it should be just a matter of manipulating that data and then packaging it up into an installer. The installers then need to be made available to our current shopping cart.
We are using only Postscript Open Type fonts (.otf). The same font is used for PC and Mac customers.
The following TTX tool:( <[url removed, login to view]> ) can be used to convert .otf to XML data. Once in XML data, the font data can be manipulated and the account information can be added. Then convert the font back to .otf format.
The tool is written in Python, but would need to be changed so that it works on our Linux server.
After the account information has been added to the font, the fonts must be packaged within separate installers for PC and Mac. The installers will need to install the fonts into special directories on the customer's computer and manipulate some Windows registry entries (I will assist you where the files go and what registry entries need changing). The installers will also need to access our database for registration.
This project requires knowledge and experience with:
Windows & Mac
Example of what we want to accomplish:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
**4) 60 days Technical Support and bug testing period**
Must build installers to work on Mac 10.3+ and Windows XP & Vista (98 and 2000 if possible-- but not necessary)
