Help compiling Squid

I am an non-expert trying to install squid on linux. I have already installed Squid on Centos5 with Yum. However, I need one of the external helpers (squid_session) that is not installed by Yum/default. I found this info on google: "squid_session is an external helper program (developed by Henrik Nordstrom). Its source comes included in the squid tar ball ([url removed, login to view]) You have to comple your squid with it enabled, or you can alternatively compile it separately and put the binary in /usr/lib/squid/" SO MY QUESTION IS: how do I "compile it separately" (squid_session)? Please provide me with exact instructions. *I'm trying to install on Centos 5.4 64 bit. **I don't want to compile the entire package from source (already tried) because that brings up even more issues. ***I'm attaching the files that are referenced by that web page. Please be available to post your solution within 1 hour of placing your bid.
