Using VB 6 (SP5):
I need help with some code on a project. Here is the setup:
I have 9 participants or "players" in a league, plus 3 that your manager owns in a simulation. Only 1 of your participants are allowed to move on to the championship tournament. I need that code that will:
Sort all of the participants in the league by their points earned. The points earned variable is named wapoint(9) for the other participants, and ywapoint(3) for your 3 guys.
I want the code to sort out the participants, first using the highest points total among your 3 players, with kills, or variable named ywakill(3), as a tiebreaker if two of your players have the same amount of points).
Take these 10 players (including the highest points total among your 3 players), and sort them into order by points that are stored in the variable names above, first to last.
Take the top 4 players, and move them into separate variables; these will advance to the championship. Use kills, with the variable names ywakill(3) for your highest points player and wakill(9) for the other players as tiebreakers in the event of a tie (and in the event of a tie in that area, just have the code choose one of the tied players at random).
If you need to see some of my code or need more explanation, let me know.
Thanks to all!
