Yahoo has updated their chat protocol to version 15.
I need code (VB6 module or DLL that is usable in VB6) that can connect to Yahoo Messenger and login with a given username and password.
There is open source code available already for this, located at <[url removed, login to view]> . Unfortunately, since I do not know C++ very well, I cant utilize it.
I will be using winsock in visual basic (6) to connect, all I need are functions that will return strings that I need to send to the server in order to properly login.
When downloading pidgin, the Yahoo Messenger connect sourcecodes are located in \pidgin-2.0.1\libpurple\protocols\yahoo (after you extract).

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
I will be using Visual Basic 6 to connect to Yahoo Messenger, thus the code should be usable in Visual Basic 6 easily.
The platform is Windows
