Develop a screen saver to run on Windows 95 and higher all the way to Windows XP. The images should expand to fit the entire screen. The screen saver should rotate the pictures as specified in a xml file described below. The contents of the xml file should be installed on the target system in whatever format best suits you. But the program should check the same xml file (on remote server) for future updates. The setup program will be an internet downloadable executable with self installation on execution. The setup would read parameters from the XML file from the remote server for accessing Images links, then download all the images to local machine. The xml file will also provide Title of the screen saver, Title of the Image, a link for other software downloads and a message to super-impose on the pictures. Scroll the messages on the bottom of the screen 5 seconds after each image changes. The screen saver should also play a background music. The setup should allow the user to select option for automatically downloading new images and program updates or identify new updates and prompt the user to select it for download. This option should be saved in registry for use of the screen saver later on for deciding whether to automatically download new images. Once the program downloads, prompt the user for installing it. Once a week, if there's a new downloadable program or free offer, prompt the user for installing it. There will be two possible options for free offers: URL and Downloadable Executable. In either case, let them browse to the ItemLocation. The xml file will have images for various categories. Allow the user to select one or more of the categories of images to select. Display the category names during setup. The location of the xml file is: [url removed, login to view]
