Looking for a highly skilled coder to write a component that can read the screen no matter which application is being run and return the text within the current active window so that It can be passed back to our text to speech engine. It has to pass the plain text (English only).
The component will basically be able to read the screen just like a human will in pretty much real time, but focusing only on the current active window. The component must be compatible with pretty much ANY win application that displays text so must be very generic, however working with CHAT programs (MSN, AIM, ICQ, Google etc) is a higher priority, thus enabling the blind to read chat messages... Must be Compatible with win98/2000/NT/XP(vista bonus?). You do NOT have to provide any text to speech, just plain text is fine.
Our other application this will integrate into is written in Delphi, so would be great if its in this language, BUT any other language you feel comfortable with will be fine as well (c#,C++,VC++).
Due to the tight deadline, please only bid if you have some sort of experience in this field and/or are absolutely 100% sure you can complete it, in other words just giving this a go is not acceptable, thanks for understanding.
